This post on Facebook brought tears to my eyes..we could use a little bit more of this kind of cooperation in our school and in our world!
An anthropologist proposed a game to the kids in an African tribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the kids that who ever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: ”UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?”
‘UBUNTU’ in the Xhosa culture means: “I am because we are”

This is very inspirational because they work together to and want to make each other feel happy. This is like caring for each other and making sure everyone feels the same.
This is very inspirational because working together, they ran as one to the basket of fruit, and they all got the sweet treats. This proves that working together can have a positive impact and and result in a positive out come for everyone in the end.
This was very inspiring and touching. I wish that everyone could be as inspirational and cooperative and kind as these kids. The cooroperation and cares for another to get the fruit and think of each other is touching. I hope maybe we can try to be a little more like them.
Such a different commity

this is really sweet and thoughtful, especially if you think about what WE would do in that situation. we would basically go every boy and girl for themselves. they have it tough and they now the others are going through the same thing. we could learn from them 🙂
i think this is a life lesson for all of us. It states that if we work together than we wouldn’t have to suffer because we are all one family.just like they shared those fruits with each other.

What an inspirational game. This is the first of I heard about teamwork I barely see teamwork here in my class but we can do it and we can do what we can to help others. It was really generous for the anthropologist to make a game that was fun for the African tribe and eat. We are very lucky for what we have now and they should too. We can be a team and help them as for them for helping us to see an opportunity of teamwork which we can do now and forever :3 <333

I know I commented on it already but I just can’t believe the level of niceness that I think the world should be more like that helping the poor and being nice to one other people that is what this story gave to me respect and to not only to think of yourself and be spoiled Becuase a lot people are homeless
